Beth Daecher founded bd home in 2008 after completing a full-scale renovation of her own Noe Valley home along with a revamp of her children’s preschool. Her background in engineering from Cornell University provides her with a unique understanding of architectural and reconstruction principles which complement her training in interior design from the University of California, Berkeley.
From fine-tuning existing drawings and sourcing products to renovating, reconstructing, and reimagining floorplans and layouts, Beth has a thorough understanding of all aspects of each project. A decade of experience as a director in high-tech firms has also equipped her with an unparalleled business savvy. “My experience in the corporate world helps me run an efficient and successful business but the creative and collaborative parts of design speak to my strengths and my passion.”
Today, Beth designs residential projects. A strong believer in mixing a client’s personal furniture pieces with new custom and retail finds, she builds layered, textured, and inviting interiors on-time and on budget. Whether designing a modern retreat or a traditional family home, hallmarks of Beth’s design include an affinity for exciting pattern and dazzling color.
Beth lives with her husband, two children, and cat in the Noe Valley oasis which she calls home.
A Bay Area native, design assistant Casey L. Doran attended San Francisco State University where she received her BFA in photography and refined her understanding of composition. Having always had a passion for design, she decided to further her education at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). After graduating from FIDM, Casey began working with bd home. Specializing in AutoCad and coordinating colors and patterns, she works alongside Founder and Principal, Beth Daecher, to create perfected, personalized homes that fit her client’s needs and taste.
